I was looking up techniques on how to easily beat codex's after I encountered them and it turns out flashbang grenades stop them from teleporting around. This holds true for most of the brolic enemies in the game. There's no way to prepare for them ahead of time without knowing that they're coming, and even then, resources are scarce, so it's hard to be ready. Most of them were manageable, until I reached sectopods, with their billion health and armor. The more story missions I did, the tougher the enemies got. Also, the rate at which the game threw new enemies at me, each tougher than the last, was absolutely absurd.
XCOM 2 CRASH ON MISSION LOAD UPGRADE
How was I supposed to know that sectopods are an insanely tough enemy and that I need specific ammo, items, and even abilities, to beat them? And in my previous playthrough, it would've been nice if the game told me that there were mandatory facilities that I needed later on and I should instead upgrade my current facilities (which costs more resources that I don't have) before building new ones. All of this brings me to my main problem with this game: xcom 2 does a terrible job at conveying information. My squad had tier 2 weapons and tier 3 armor and I still got murked. 20 hours in, I get introduced to sectopods that annihilated my squad, the avatar project completed, and I lot. So I restarted again, on rookie difficulty once more. 10 hours in, I realized that I fucked up by building too many of the wrong facilities so I couldn't progress anymore.

This time, I started on rookie (easy) difficulty. So I got mad and decided to play other stuff instead, until one year later, when I finally decided to try again. Four hours in, I got overwhelmed by the aliens and lost. After finally getting the time to play it, I decided to start my playthrough on veteran (normal) difficulty.

So once I got xcom 2 (thankfully for free off of ps plus) I was excited to see how they advanced the series. And the story was deep and dark and had me interested to see how it played out. That game was challenging, but a lot of fun. I beat the first xcom game on my ps3 on normal difficulty completely blind on my first playthrough. I hate lazy designs.ĥ0% PlayStation 4I give up. You shouldn't have added the concealment mechanics if you could not manage to design a gameplay which lets you use it effectively.

XCOM 2 CRASH ON MISSION LOAD CODE
The game mandates you to play the missions in a way how the devs want you to play BY A SINISTER and CHEATING son of a code which lets the enemies behave according to your moves EVEN WHEN THEY DO NOT SEE YOU. Yeah, you play once, get your concealed men seen, saying "Ok, this patrol comes this way, so now I will reload and go the other way stealthly", you reload the mission, send your man another way, and what, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patrol goes DIRECTLY to your new location AGAIN. EVERY, SINGLE, EFFING TIME! PATROLS CHANGE ROUTE WHEN YOU RELOAD THE MISSION ACCORDING TO THE LOCATION OF YOUR SOLDIERS. AND IT SABOTAGED MY BULLETPROOF PLANS JUST WITH A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHEATY WAY OF PULLING ENEMIES DIRECTLY TO MY MAN LIKE THEY ARE MOB MAGNETS. I lost many hours trying to complete just a single mission with a stealth-based approach. They start walking slowly to your position when you stay stealthy for a considerable amount of time. That's right, the code always sees you, and mobs drift towards your ambushing guys. It always pulls at least one enemy pack towards your concealed soldiers no matter how successfully you hide and position them around. THE GAME IS PROGRAMMED TO CHEAT AGAINST YOU WHEN YOU TRY TO PURSUE A STEALTH WAY OF INFILTRATION. I'm not even gonna talk about the unholy RNG system.
